Root Brand Story
Change often happens when we are forced to confront our own unhealthy habits. Bob, one of Root's co-founders, can attest to this firsthand. In 2018, Bob's doctor advised him to either take cholesterol medication or change his lifestyle to treat his high blood pressure. He was already taking hypertension medication, and the prospect of adding more medication made him question his lifestyle and diet.
Around the same time, Bob's dad, who had been a massage therapist for over 15 years, introduced him to some Ayurvedic medicine to complement his therapy. Bob started taking some of the supplements, made some lifestyle changes, and was amazed when he managed to reverse his cholesterol. In the process, he lost 8 kg of weight and 10 cm off his waist.
But there was still the issue of his blood pressure. So Bob did some research and even took a trip to India to source more Ayurvedic products for his dad's business. By 2019, Bob was more and more involved in the business, and the Ayurvedic supplements they were selling were making a big difference in people's lives.
Bob and his son Jai realised they could help even more people by creating a new brand dedicated to holistic wellness. In 2022, they started the process of creating Root.
Today, Bob doesn't take any prescribed medication. It's amazing what the right supplements and lifestyle changes can do for your health. And the name Root? Well, it just so happens to be our surname spelled backward.
